Continuing Medical Education

Dr. Rosato believes in bringing state of the art techniques to his patients and he has participated in quite a few Plastic Surgery meetings this fall. It was noted earlier that he was inducted into the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and went to Geneva to participate in that society’s biannual meeting. Rhinoplasty, “nose job” was a featured area of concentration. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons met in New Orleans in late October. BRA day, Breast Reconstruction Awareness day was featured. The courageous battle with breast cancer and survival of 6 patients was presented. Multiple panel discussions were also conducted on safe outcomes following breast augmentation and breast reconstruction. The Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons will meet in West Palm Beach in the first week in December. Dr. Rosato is a past president of the FSPS and currently on the Board of Trustees of the society. All aspects of aesthetic plastic surgery will be discussed. Finally, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation is sponsoring a meeting emphasizing innovations in Plastic Surgery in the spring. Dr Rosato presented his work on breast augmentation at this meeting and also lectured on outpatient cosmetic surgery combined with tummy tucks, “Mommy make-over’s” in years past. He is considering attending the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in New York City in April. Dr. Rosato is a member of the Florida Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Each of these organizations has a strict code of ethics and demands strict regulation to safeguard patients during surgery.
